Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to be based in Denver, Colorado or Salt Lake City, Utah. The role supports mining projects and aims to lead a team of structural engineers across multiple projects, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, eight years of experience, SE registration, and may hold a PE license in CO/NM/UT/AZ. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD and RAM Elements is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
Registration as a Professional Structural Engineer (SE) required.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
Leads structural engineering and design, investigations, analyses on mining projects.
Serve as lead structural engineer on mid- to large-size projects.
Perform advanced structural analyses including 2D/3D finite element modeling (FEA).
Coordinate staff on designs, specifications, drawings, figures, reports and calculations.
