Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to be based in Denver, Colorado or Salt Lake City, Utah. The role supports mining projects and aims to lead a team of structural engineers across multiple projects, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, eight years of experience, SE registration, and may hold a PE license in CO/NM/UT/AZ. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD and RAM Elements is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Registration as a Professional Structural Engineer (SE) required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
• Leads structural engineering and design, investigations, analyses on mining projects.
• Serve as lead structural engineer on mid- to large-size projects.
• Perform advanced structural analyses including 2D/3D finite element modeling (FEA).
• Coordinate staff on designs, specifications, drawings, figures, reports and calculations.
