Qualifications

• Trade qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of proven experience in maintaining heavy-duty mobile and fixed mining equipment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and control systems relevant to mining machinery.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and other testing equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to mining safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding operational environment in Welkom, Free State.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, prevent, and repair mining equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot complex failures and implement effective solutions.
• Read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and diagnostic data.
• Inspect equipment and perform performance tests.
• Maintain maintenance logs with work performed and parts used.
