Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking a Senior Microsoft Purview Engineer to run Purview in a live production environment and mature enterprise data protection capabilities. You will partner with Security, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, IT and business stakeholders to scale governance, DLP, retention and eDiscovery across Microsoft 365.

Minimum 7 years in IT security and 5+ years in data protection, strong policy development, and experience with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT security and 5+ years in data protection.
• Purview DLP: wrote and tuned policies across Exchange, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams and endpoints.
• Experience working with legal, compliance, privacy or audit teams.
• One or more: eDiscovery (Premium) and legal holds; Insider Risk Management or Communication Compliance; Retention policies and records management; DSPM or finding sensitive data outside Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• From day one: run and tune the client's Purview setup—labels, DLP, retention, insider risk, eDiscovery.
• Over time, help grow the data protection program and report to legal, compliance and security leaders.
