Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Data Protection and Privacy team to act as a Microsoft Security Architect and engagement leader. You will own end-to-end solution architecture across Purview and related Microsoft platforms, guiding multidisciplinary teams and client workstreams.

The role requires strong Purview experience and a track record of delivering security, privacy, and data governance programs. You will lead architecture direction, drive cross-functional design decisions, and mentor staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Science, Privacy, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Approximately 6+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, data protection, identity, endpoint, cloud security, privacy, compliance, information governance, or related technology consulting, including leadership.
• Demonstrated experience architecting integrated Microsoft solutions across multiple security, compliance, identity, endpoint, cloud, data, or analytics capabilities.
• Hands-on architecture or delivery experience with Microsoft Purview, including Information Protection, DLP, Data Lifecycle Management, Records Management, Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, Audit, Data Map, Data Catalog, or Data Security Posture Management.
• Working knowledge across additional Microsoft technologies such as Defender, Intune, Sentinel, Entra, Azure security services, Fabric, Microsoft 365, or 365 Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Lead Microsoft security and data protection engagements from discovery to benefits realization.
• Own end-to-end solution architecture across Purview, Defender, Intune, Sentinel, Entra, and Azure security services.
• Ensure Purview is integrated into broader security architectures and data governance.
• Develop integrated security, data protection, identity, cloud, privacy, and AI governance strategies.
• Lead enterprise security assessments, maturity reviews, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
• Facilitate workshops across security, privacy, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into target-state architectures and implementation plans.
• Establish architecture principles, patterns, and quality criteria for Microsoft-based solutions.
• Design and oversee integrations across Microsoft platforms and third-party tools.
• Lead security architecture for Copilot, Fabric, and AI governance initiatives.
• Manage engagement scope, staffing, budgets, risks, and executive reporting.
• Provide direction and coaching to junior resources and review deliverables.
• Build trusted client relationships and contribute to proposals and pricing.
