Job summary

EY seeks a Senior Cyber - Data Protection Microsoft Architect to lead Microsoft Purview engagements for enterprise clients. You’ll translate business, legal, privacy, regulatory, and security requirements into practical architecture, governance, and implementation approaches across the Microsoft stack.

In this role you’ll mentor junior staff, drive solution design, coordinate workstreams including discovery, design, testing, and deployment, and collaborate with clients and cross‑functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Approximately 3–6 years of relevant cybersecurity, data protection, privacy, or cloud security experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview in enterprise environments across multiple areas.
• Experience translating requirements into architecture, solution design, and deployment plans.
• Knowledge of two or more Microsoft technologies (Defender, Intune, Sentinel, Entra, Azure, Fabric, M365).
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders across disciplines.
• Experience with large enterprise projects involving diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior, lead Microsoft Purview workstreams from discovery to deployment.
• Design and support Purview capabilities including Information Protection, DLP, and Data Governance.
• Develop data protection and privacy strategies aligned to regulatory requirements.
• Support architecture reviews, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
• Facilitate client workshops and interviews with technical and business stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into solution architectures, backlog items, and test scenarios.
• Create architecture diagrams, reference patterns, and implementation guidance.
• Coordinate integration of Purview with Defender, Intune, Sentinel, Entra, Azure and 365 services.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute reusable assets for delivery.
• Stay updated on Microsoft product developments and privacy standards.
