Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a Senior Consultant within the Data Protection and Privacy team. You will serve as a Microsoft architect with Purview expertise and guide clients on governance, security, and data risk in complex enterprise environments.

You will lead workstreams, design architectures, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with security, legal, and business teams to translate requirements into practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data protection, privacy, and security architecture.
• Experience designing or implementing Microsoft Purview in a large enterprise.
• Ability to translate business, legal, privacy, regulatory, and security requirements into architecture and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Microsoft Purview workstreams including discovery, design, configuration guidance and deployment planning.
• Design and support Purview capabilities: Information Protection, labeling, DLP, Records Management, Data Governance.
• Develop data classification, retention, DLP, and governance strategies aligned to business and regulatory needs.
• Support security and privacy assessments, architecture reviews, and roadmaps.
• Facilitate client workshops and stakeholder interviews across security, privacy, legal, and business teams.
• Translate requirements into solution architectures, backlogs, user stories, and test scenarios.
• Create architecture diagrams, reference patterns, and implementation guidance.
• Coordinate Purview integration with Defender, Entra, Azure, and related services.
