Job summary

JoCo is seeking a Systems Administrator to lead the Microsoft 365 environment, focusing on administration, security, governance, and ongoing improvement. You will provide advanced support, guide platform strategy, and mentor team members while partnering with business and leadership to deliver scalable technology solutions.

Responsibilities include managing Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Copilot, and Entra ID; driving deployment readiness; offering Tier 3 support;

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of relevant IT experience.
• Extensive Microsoft 365 expertise with Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Copilot, and Entra ID.
• Advanced knowledge of identity management, governance, security, compliance, and enterprise collaboration technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to present technical information to management audiences.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, collaboration, and vendor-management abilities.
• Willingness to provide after-hours support during critical incidents.
• Safety-focused technical leadership and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Copilot, and Entra ID.
• Develop collaboration-platform strategies by reviewing upcoming Microsoft capabilities, assessing risk and business value, and coordinating deployment readiness.
• Provide Tier 3 support, investigate complex incidents, lead post-incident reviews, and document improvements that strengthen platform performance.
• Administer enterprise identity and access controls, including single sign-on, multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, privileged access, and identity governance.
• Enhance security and regulatory compliance through Microsoft Purview, data loss prevention, retention policies, eDiscovery, data classification, and insider-risk controls.
• Translate business and technical needs into integrated Microsoft 365 solutions using effective project management and cross-functional coordination.
• Present technical recommendations to different levels of management and maintain productive relationships with vendors.
• Coach analysts and provide technical direction across the broader IT team.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and respond proactively to urgent support needs.
