Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the on-site EMS site in the Windber, PA area. You will direct the Manufacturing and Process Engineering teams, optimize SMT and PCBA processes, and shepherd NPI transitions to high-yield production.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in PCBA/EMS environments with at least 3 years in leadership, deep knowledge of SMT configurations, IPC guidelines, MES, and ISO quality standards, plus Lean and Six Sigma expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8+ years in high-mix/low-volume PCBA EMS manufacturing.
• At least 3 years in leadership or managerial role.
• Deep knowledge of automated SMT lines, soldering metallurgy, IPC guidelines, and MES.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485.

Responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing and Process Engineers; manage KPIs and budget.
• Optimize PCBA manufacturing processes including SMT, reflow, wave soldering.
• Drive NPI from design to high-yield production with DFM reviews.
• Oversee equipment selection, installation, IQ/OQ/PQ and robotics.
• Promote Lean and 5S; reduce scrap and cycle times.
