Job summary

Manufacturing Engineering Manager role within an EMS provider in Windber, PA area, on-site. You will lead the site's manufacturing engineering team, guiding SMT and PCBA processes, and drive NPI transitions from design to high-yield production.

Responsibilities include capital equipment selection, robot integration, and Lean/5S initiatives to optimize layout and cycle times. This full-time, exempt role offers competitive compensation and healthcare benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8+ years engineering experience in high-mix/low-volume PCBA EMS environment; 3+ years in leadership.
• Deep knowledge of SMT configurations, soldering metallurgy, IPC guidelines, and MES.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing and Process Engineering team; manage KPIs.
• Optimize PCBA manufacturing processes including SMT, reflow, selective, wave, conformal coating.
• Champion NPI with DFM reviews.
• Lead Capital Equipment, automation, IQ/OQ/PQ and robotics projects.
• Drive Lean & 5S culture to reduce scrap and improve cycle times.
