Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Metals to support transfer of sheet metal components to suppliers, focusing on cost-effectiveness and DFM analysis. This role reports to Global Supply Management and partners with Program Managers and Advanced Manufacturing.

You will lead DFM/APQP reviews, drive QML maturation from prototype through SOP and PPAP, and manage supplier tooling and process maturation while mitigating schedule risks and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the design and manufacturing of sheet metal parts.
• Experience with high-volume sheet metal forming and coatings.
• Strong understanding of tolerancing and GD&T principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing to optimize designs for cost, assembly, and manufacturability.
• Lead DFM and APQP reviews with suppliers before design freeze.
• Own the QML roadmap from prototype to SOP and PPAP, maturing tooling and processes.
• Identify and mitigate program schedule risks, including tooling lead times and capacity constraints.
• Drive containment with SCARs, RCA, and verify long-term corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
