Job summary
Form Energy is seeking a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Metals to drive cost-effective transfer of sheet metal components to suppliers and lead manufacturing feasibility analyses. You will work with Global Supply Management and cross-functional teams to mature tooling and processes from concept through SOP and PPAP, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
This role offers relocation assistance and a path to scale our iron-air battery manufacturing as part of a fast-growing company
Qualifications
- 5+ years in design and manufacturing of sheet metal parts.
- Experience with high-volume sheet metal forming/coating processes such as stamping, bending, welding, laser cutting.
- Strong tolerancing and GD&T knowledge.
- Experience with supplier management and negotiation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for cost and manufacturability.
- Lead DFM and APQP reviews with suppliers before design freeze.
- Own QML roadmap from prototype to SOP/PPAP and maturation of tooling and processes.
- Identify and mitigate schedule risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Lead SCAR operations and drive root-cause analysis for improvements.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
