Job summary

Form Energy, a U.S. energy storage company, seeks a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Metals, to transfer sheet metal components to suppliers and lead DFMA/APQP reviews. You’ll work with Global Supply Management on cost, manufacturability, and quality, ensuring successful transitions from concept to production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in design and manufacturing of sheet metal parts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience with high‑volume sheet metal forming/coating processes (stamping, bending, welding, laser cutting).
• Strong tolerancing and GD&T understanding.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and familiarity with sheet metal coatings (nickel plating).
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize designs for cost, assembly, and manufacturability.
• Lead DFM and APQP reviews with suppliers before design freeze.
• Own the QML roadmap from prototype to SOP and PPAP, maturing tooling and processes.
• Identify and mitigate schedule risks, including tooling lead times and capacity constraints.
• Drive SCAR processes and RCA to verify long‑term corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement to reduce variation and costs.
