Job summary

Coursera + Udemy is seeking a Senior Merchandising Manager to establish merchandising as a strategic growth function. You will work with the Director of Merchandising and partners to develop strategies, enable new capabilities, and create scalable merchandising practices that drive learner engagement and revenue.

You will run experiments, analyze trends, and refine merchandising tactics to deliver the best learner experience while enabling growth across the combined ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven track record developing merchandising strategies that improve learner engagement, conversion, retention, and revenue.
• Strong experimentation mindset with design, execution, and interpretation of A/B tests.
• Exceptional analytical skills using customer insights and performance data to prioritize opportunities.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Analytics, and Data Science.
• Strong commercial acumen balancing learner experience with marketplace dynamics and business objectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead merchandising initiatives across homepages, navigation, browse, search, course pages, hubs, and promotions.
• Partner with Category Managers to amplify content launches and seasonal campaigns.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define merchandising capabilities and tools.
• Design, execute, and analyze merchandising experiments to validate hypotheses.
• Analyze learner behavior and marketplace trends to identify opportunities for improved discovery and conversion.
• Develop merchandising frameworks balancing learner needs, editorial curation, and algorithmic recommendations.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the combined portfolio.
