Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Senior MEP Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a $5–$50 million project. This role requires daily on-site presence and close collaboration with the project team to deliver safety, quality and schedule on time.

You will lead the coordination of trade contractors, enforce safety standards, maintain comprehensive field documentation, and drive contingency planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certified or equivalent safety training.
• STS-C Certification or equivalent.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed training.
• 7–12 years leading a component of work or whole project at $30M+ value.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day coordination of trade contractors to meet project schedule.
• Develop, document, and communicate field work plans.
• Maintain contract documents and anticipate problems.
• Obtain necessary permits for construction activities.
• Lead safety efforts and enforce site safety plans.
• Manage project meeting cadence and daily reports.
• Create and update the project schedule with contingencies.
• Coordinate jobsite logistics and material scheduling.
• Oversee quality plans and process improvements with Operations Excellence.
• Train and develop Field Engineers and Superintendents.
• Support buyout, job scope writing, and T&M tracking.
• Collaborate with business development to align with sales strategies.
