Job summary

Barton Malow in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Project Manager to lead planning, coordination, and delivery of complex MEP systems across our projects. You will partner with owners, designers, trade partners, and field teams to meet quality, schedule, budget, and safety objectives.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in MEP management, strong BIM/VDC coordination, procurement, commissioning, and turnover.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
10+ years of experience managing MEP scopes within large-scale commercial construction projects.
Demonstrated leadership of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage systems from preconstruction through commissioning.
Strong understanding of MEP procurement, design coordination, commissioning, and turnover processes.
Experience using BIM/VDC tools to support system coordination and project delivery.
Experience with Procore and other construction management platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead MEP design management and coordination during preconstruction and project execution.
Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to develop cost-effective building system solutions.
Review design documents for constructability, completeness, and potential coordination conflicts.
Support estimating and procurement with budgeting, value engineering, and subcontractor buyout activities.
Develop MEP scope packages and participate in subcontractor evaluation and award recommendations.
Lead MEP turnover, startup, testing, balancing, commissioning, and owner training activities.
