Barton Malow is seeking an MEP Project Manager for a mission critical project near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This full-time, on-site role requires deep MEP knowledge and proven commissioning experience to drive the package from procurement through startup and turnover.

The role emphasizes coordination with civil, structural, and architectural scopes, vendor management, and strong client communication to protect schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years managing mechanical and electrical scope on mission critical facilities.
• Deep technical depth in electrical distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, and cooling systems.
• Experience through Levels 1–5 commissioning and integrated systems testing.
• Proven ability to manage long lead equipment procurement and vendor delivery commitments.
• Cross-disciplinary coordination with civil, structural, architectural scopes and owner-furnished scope.

Responsibilities

• Owns cost, schedule, buyout, and subcontractor performance for the MEP package end to end.
• Manages long lead equipment procurement and coordinates vendor commitments.
• Drives commissioning from Level 1 through Level 5 and tests with the owner and commissioning agent.
• Coordinates MEP with civil, structural, architectural scopes and owner-furnished equipment.
• Oversees procurement process, bidding strategy, and bid evaluations.
• Leads change management with factual documentation and owner alignment.
• Facilitates preconstruction through closeout meetings with the project team.
• Manages general conditions budget, cash flow, and project costs to protect profitability.
• Supports Superintendent on owner issues and subcontractor communications.
• Administers financial aspects of owner contracts and subcontracts.
