Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout in Charleston, SC. You will oversee procurement, planning, field operations, cost management, and team leadership, partnering with engineers, subs, and design teams to deliver complex projects safely and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in GC/CM Construction Management.
• Experience with Procore preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Procurement: Develop bidders list, bidding strategy, distribute bidding documents, manage bidders, organize pre-bid meetings, handle bidder questions, develop work scopes, draft subcontracts, evaluate bids.
• Planning: Set up complex project schedule, develop site logistics, cash flow projections, constructability reviews, review preliminary estimates, mobilize jobsite staff.
• Field Operations: Establish safety plan, manage punchlist, labor relations, crisis procedures, coordinate owner equipment, BIM/MEP coordination.
• Cost Management: Manage general conditions budget, monitor costs, set up cost structures, process changes, manage cash flow.
• Management: Lead project team meetings, ensure RFIs/submittals processing, maintain office procedures, interface with Architect/Engineer, participate in business development.
