Job summary

Mortenson seeks a MEP Project Manager II to provide direction on MEP-dominant projects, overseeing quality, timeliness and safety while mentoring the project team and strengthening customer relationships.

You will manage finances, budgets, trade partners, and 3‑D coordination, lead change orders, and ensure successful project closeout with manuals, turnover, and training. A travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of construction management experience, preferably with an M/E contractor.
• Current driver's license and ability to travel up to 30%.
• Strong knowledge of construction law and business practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial health: projections, cost codes, invoices, and monthly owner billings.
• Manage budgets, trades, suppliers, and 3-D coordination/commissioning processes.
• Lead closeout activities: manuals, model turnover, and training.
• Supervise Assistant PMs and Project Engineers with coaching and feedback.
• Serve as main owner/site contact, resolving issues and maintaining relationships.
• Manage change orders and ensure approvals from customers/architects.
• Maintain schedule and budget; oversee quality, risk, and safety.
• Collaborate across diverse teams and lead by example.
