Mortenson is seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager I to lead Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing projects on medium to large scopes, ensuring quality, timeliness, and safety. The role includes mentoring the project team, overseeing multiple projects, and developing strong customer relationships through exceptional service.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, eight years of construction management experience, and the ability to travel up to 100%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil, architectural, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum eight years construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and related policies.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall project financial health, including projections, budgeting, and invoicing.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier selections, billings, and contract management.
• Direct 3-D coordination and commissioning processes, ensuring conflict resolution and testing.
• Lead project closeout activities, including manuals, model turnover, and training.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s).
• Serve as main contact for owner, resolving site concerns and building relationships.
• Manage change orders and obtain necessary approvals.
• Ensure quality, risk, safety, and compliance throughout the project.
