Job summary

Daksta is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction, estimating, cost planning and design management for mission critical construction projects, focusing on data centers. You will collaborate with architects, engineers and commissioning agents to optimize scope, schedule and procurement strategies.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, advanced estimating methods and proactive coordination with cross-functional teams to deliver complex mechanical systems

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven experience in the commercial/mechanical construction industry (Mission Critical Data Center experience preferred).
• Experience leading preconstruction efforts across estimating, cost planning, design management and procurement.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, develop budgets and provide constructability reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities across estimating, cost planning, and design management for data center projects.
• Scope, evaluate and select subcontractors based on value and project needs.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing and manage budgeting and bid proposals.
• Perform quantity take-offs for mechanical systems and maintain cost history.
• Provide direction to project teams on scope, schedule, and procurement strategies.
• Support field teams with early scheduling and constructability input.
