Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer III to join our mechanical design team on projects spanning data centers, industrial facilities, and offices. You will work closely with architects, engineers, vendors, and clients to develop robust HVAC and plumbing systems using Revit, ensuring performance, energy efficiency, and code compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, load software.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards, and best practices.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Top-notch organization, attention to detail with excellent written and oral skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit for various projects.
• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing layouts within Revit, including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
• Perform engineering calculations for load analysis, equipment sizing, and system performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical and structural engineers for integrated MEP designs.
• Write and edit mechanical equipment specifications, select equipment and devices for cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders; assist with record drawings and site inspections.
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and building codes and sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors to resolve technical challenges and improve design efficiency.
• Stay updated on Revit features and industry trends to improve workflows.
