Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Senior MEP Manager to lead and mentor the MEP teams on multiple projects, collaborating with Project Managers and Executives to define regional and project-specific needs. The role sits primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings and meetings.

You will build high performing teams, drive value engineering, supervise MEP work scopes, and foster a safe, inclusive work environment while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 15+ years related field experience.
• Experience in a supervisory role on a large project.
• OSHA 30 hour certified.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Protects Gilbane and the owner from cost, quality, and schedule impacts.
• Coordinates with Project Managers and MEP staff to understand project needs.
• Provides oversight for MEP-GMP preparation.
• Leads development of the Project Execution Plan.
• Oversees MEP document review, Value Engineering, and constructability.
• Leads buyout, installation, and testing of control systems on multiple projects.
• Builds long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
• Leads and coaches MEP staff across multiple complex projects.
• Mentors team members and fosters inclusive environment.
