Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Building Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. The role includes rounds, preventive maintenance, paintwork, and housekeeping to maintain safe, clean facilities.

Responsibilities include servicing HVAC, boilers, pumps, energy management, and safety inspections; the position requires 5+ years of experience, appropriate trade licenses, and ability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial property.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements for the buildings.
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, thermostats, and control systems.
• Inspect and repair building systems; document activities for supervisor.
