Job summary

Komline is seeking a Senior Process Design Engineer to develop and optimize membrane treatment equipment designs in Venice, FL. You will create process configurations, assist with technical proposals, and ensure designs meet performance, regulatory, and cost targets.

The role requires strong knowledge of RO/NF and UF/MF processes, process simulations, and collaboration with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate control systems. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental or Process Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of experience in process design for membrane treatment equipment manufacturing.
• Knowledge of water chemistry and membrane technologies (RO, NF, UF, MF) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for custom membrane systems.
• Design and size RO/NF and UF/MF systems and ancillary equipment.
• Prepare detailed process calculations including flow, pressure, dosing, and membrane performance.
• Review technical offers and design basis documents with project estimators.
• Provide input for cost estimation, BOMs and project scheduling.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and troubleshooting of systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with client specs, codes (AWWA, ASTM, ISO) and environmental regs.
