Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Specialist IV to join the Santa Barbara Branch. This non-exempt role reports to the Branch Manager and handles daily cash transactions, member services, and consultative sales to meet member needs.

You will work closely with branch leadership to maintain service standards, assist in opening accounts, and guide members toward appropriate Golden 1 products and services. This position offers growth within a member-owned financial cooperative.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a leadership role at another financial institution preferred.
• 1.5+ years in a Member Service Specialist III role preferred.

Responsabilités

• Processes and audits financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments and general ledger entries while maintaining a cash drawer.
• Provides Golden 1 services to members, including cashier’s checks, money orders, savings bonds, wire transfers and debit card issuance.
• Assesses members' needs while processing transactions.
• Identifies opportunities to help members relative to Golden 1 product or service offerings and documents in EnAct system.
• Identifies and reports fraudulent activity to management and Financial Investigations dept., in accordance with current procedures to prevent potential loss to the credit union.
• Assists in the operation of the ATM and Teller Cash Dispenser Units.
• May lead open/close responsibilities in absence of Associate Branch Manager or Branch Manager.
• Verifies signature cards in ECM and checks acceptance within assigned limits.
• Maintains confidentiality of member and credit union information.
• Opens deposit and specialty accounts and enrolls members in channels (online, mobile).
• Refer members’ home lending/investment needs to appropriate business partners via EnAct referrals.
• Process consumer loan applications and completes fulfillment of loans when appropriate.
