Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Technologist for the Core Laboratory in Nashoba Valley. The role performs complex chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic testing to support patient diagnoses. Strong supervision and training skills are valued, with opportunities for growth across the lab.

Required is a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and at least 3 years of relevant experience; ASCP MT certification is preferred. A signing bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Medical Technology.
• ASCP MT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex tests across hematology, chemistry and blood bank.
• Interpret results in context of patient history and clinical condition.
• Troubleshoot testing discrepancies and maintain equipment and records.
• Instruct staff and ensure compliance with quality and safety policies.
