Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Technologist II for Nashoba Valley Core Lab in Groton, MA. This per diem, on-site position performs and interprets chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to aid diagnoses, with independence and guidance to junior staff.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, ASCP MT certification preferred, and three years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent required.
• ASCP MT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests.
• Provides guidance to Medical Technologist I’s and Lab Technicians.
• Ensures results meet quality control standards and maintains accurate records.
• Troubleshoots testing process discrepancies and assists in new test development.
