Job summary

Regional One Health is seeking a Lead Medical Social Worker to oversee social work services, psychosocial assessments and counseling for patients and families in collaboration with the medical team.

The role requires leadership of the Case Management Department, staff development, and adherence to HIPAA while coordinating with revenue cycle and hospital management to meet performance targets and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
• Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.

Responsibilities

• Leads and delegates daily shift briefings and manages shift change procedures.
• Monitors workflow and initiates staffing reassignments to meet volumes.
• Develops team training tools and educates staff to achieve performance targets.
• Represents the department at scheduled meetings and handles patient or customer issues.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and protects PHI across processes.
