US Oncology Inc. is seeking a Scheduler to join our team at the Texas Oncology clinic in The Woodlands, TX.

This full-time position supports patient appointments and testing, with responsibilities including handling calls, coordinating referrals, and ensuring accurate EMR documentation. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years’ experience preferably in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding a plus.
• Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
• Minimum three years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Minimum five years office experience, preferable in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Schedule new and returning patients in system per guidelines.
• Enter insurance authorizations and referrals in EMR.
• Collect co-pays and other payments at visit time.
• Maintain scheduling template for physician availability and call coverage.
• Coordinate with patients for financial counseling as needed.
• Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to policies.
• Support front desk functions and prepare correspondence as requested.
• Schedule outpatient appointments, testing, surgeries and pre-certifications as needed.
