Job summary

Dexcom Corporation seeks an experienced engineer to design and scale manufacturing processes from R&D builds to pilot and full-scale production. You will lead equipment development, DOE support, and data-driven improvements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document specifications, and implement robust measurement systems within a regulated quality framework; travel 0-5% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 5–8 years of related experience, or Master’s/PhD with related experience.
• Experience in medical device industry preferred.
• Proven ability to work hands-on in fast-paced environments and scale processes from prototype to pilot.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate equipment and processes for R&D scale builds to scale into commercial processes.
• Develop processes and evaluation systems to support DOEs for R&D projects.
• Maintain project timelines and update leadership.
• Lead material characterization, dispensing, and cure-related projects with root-cause analysis.
• Design fixtures and equipment to meet process goals from concept to implementation.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, assembly steps, and procedures in a regulated quality system.
• Train pilot plant operators on engineering-level builds.
• Create equipment specs and drawings, calibrations, and maintenance requirements.
• Set up data acquisition infrastructure and analyze large data sets.
• Coordinate R&D builds in a pilot production facility across projects.
• Implement and optimize measurement systems, inspections, MSAs, and capability analyses.
• Identify process risks and track mitigations using standard methods.
• Assist scaling equipment from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine action.
