Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a Sr. Mechatronics and Robotics Technician to lead shift operations and maintain automated building systems in a highly automated environment for one of the world’s largest online retailers.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control systems, mentor technicians, guide safety and quality, and build work plans, using CMMS to manage work orders. Four-plus years in automation is required with PLC experience and MHE safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with automated conveyors and controls.
• Experience with MHE safety standards per OEM and safety standards.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, NEC, and/or industrial electronics.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with PLC programs.
• 3+ years of work order management.
• Ability to move up to 50lbs and climb stairs/ ladders.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Repair, maintain, and continuously improve functionality of Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) and robotic systems throughout the facility.
• Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
• Install, maintain, and solve relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
• Lead and mentor work plan for emergency repair of critical assets and training plans for Maintenance Technicians.
• Build and close out work orders in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned.
