Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Mechanical Technician III to enable the build of Neutron facilities for timely test and first launch campaigns. You will join a close-knit team responsible for the build, integration, test, operation, and maintenance of Neutron launch vehicle and ground systems.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace/industrial environments, with hydraulics/pneumatics experience and proficiency with mechanical tools.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
5+ years of aerospace/industrial experience.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and/or fluid components.
Experience assembling large structures and mechanisms.
Knowledge and use of hand, power and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

Fabricate mechanical subsystems on test and launch sites for Neutron.
Lead daily activities for 3–5 technicians to meet integration schedule.
Contribute to workflow and best practices for launch pad operations.
Ensure tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.
Provide support for other operations to aid launch ops integration.
Fit out, assemble and install launch pad systems (fluids, cleaning, troubleshooting).
Collaborate with Rocket Lab teams in Auckland, Long Beach, and Stennis Space Center.
