Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Mechanical Technician III to enable Neutron launch campaigns. You will lead fabrication of mechanical subsystems, assemble large structures, and ensure high-quality integration at launch sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace, industrial or related environments.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and/or fluid components.
• Previous experience in the assembly of large structures and mechanisms.
• Knowledge and skill in the use of hand, power and measurement tools used in mechanical construction.
• Nice-to-have: read schematics, operate heavy equipment and understand fluid systems.

Responsibilities

• Play a crucial role in fabrication of mechanical subsystems on test/launch sites for Neutron.
• Support and as needed lead daily activities for 3-5 technicians to meet integration schedules.
• Contribute to workflow/best practices for launch pad operations.
• Ensure tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.
• Provide support on other operations as needed for launch ops integration.
• Fit out, assembly and installation of launch pad systems including fluid system build/commissioning; cleaning; troubleshooting.
