Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Principal Stage Fluids Engineer for the Neutron program to own design, build, test, and review of fluid networks across the launch vehicle. You will design plumbing systems, analyze dynamics, model behavior, and integrate hardware with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 12+ years in a hardware-rich environment.
  • Experience with fluid components design for valves, pressure vessels, fittings.
  • Experience with DfM/DfAM, machining and welding processes with GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Design plumbing systems, components, and secondary structures.
  • Analyze systems in launch environments and review critical analyses.
  • Model systems to predict behavior under all conditions.
  • Test and qualify fluid components and modules.
  • Integrate hardware into the launch vehicle.
  • Collaborate with propulsion, structures, mechanical, operations, and flight software teams.
