Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Mechanical Technician at multiple levels (I–Senior) to enable the Neutron launch vehicle build and test campaigns at our Virginia facility. You will lead a tight-knit team, fabricate and assemble fluid and mechanical subsystems, and support launch operations across multiple facilities.

You will work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and large-structure assembly in an aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, industrial, or relevant environment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and/or fluid components.
• Previous experience assembling large structures and mechanisms.
• Knowledge and skill using hand, power, and measurement tools in mechanical construction.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate mechanical subsystems for Neutron launch vehicle and ground systems.
• Lead daily activities for 3–5 technicians to meet integration schedules.
• Contribute to workflows and best practices for launch pad operations.
• Ensure tasks meet time and quality standards.
• Provide support to rocket lab manufacturing and integration teams.
• Assemble, fit out and install launch pad systems and fluid systems; perform precision cleaning as needed.
