Job summary

LJC Design & Engineering is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Stress Analysis Engineer to lead piping stress analyses and ensure mechanical integrity for industrial facilities. You will mentor junior engineers, review calculations, and ensure designs comply with codes and client standards.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across pharma, chemical, food & beverage, and life sciences projects, delivering safe, constructible solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license preferred; PE license required for sealing calculations and design documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced piping stress analyses using CAESAR II or equivalent.
• Develop piping stress models for thermal expansion, seismic, wind, and other loads.
• Evaluate nozzle loads and equipment interfaces for pumps, vessels, and exchangers.
• Provide design recommendations for pipe supports, restraints, anchors, guides, and expansion joints.
• Mentor junior engineers and review calculations and deliverables.
