Job summary

Clayco / LJC Design & Engineering in the United States seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Stress Analysis Engineer to lead engineering, analysis, and design of complex mechanical and piping systems for industrial and process facilities.

You will serve as technical authority on piping flexibility, stress analysis, equipment loading, and mechanical integrity, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring designs meet codes, standards, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• PE license preferred for the role; PE license required for sealing calculations and design documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced piping flexibility and stress analyses using CAESAR II or equivalent.
• Develop and validate piping stress models for thermal expansion, seismic loading, wind loading, pressure, deadweight, vibration, and occasional loads.
• Evaluate nozzle loads and equipment interface forces for pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and vessels.
• Support mechanical equipment selection, specification, and installation requirements.
• Mentor junior mechanical engineers and designers in engineering principles and code requirements.
