Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Mechanical Subject Matter Expert to serve as the technical authority for data center mechanical systems. The role focuses on HVAC design, optimization, and reliability across hyperscale facilities.

You will lead assessments, drive best practices, and collaborate with engineering teams, clients, and vendors. On-site work in Claude, TX requires readiness for after-hours and 24x7 incident support.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technical building engineering experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and production equipment maintenance.
• Experience working in Data Centers/Raised Floor Environment.
• EPA 608 Certification.
• CRAC (Liebert) maintenance experience.
• Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems specific to data center operations.
• Design and implement cooling solutions optimized for high-density server environments.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for critical infrastructure.
• Lead root cause analyses for system failures and drive corrective actions.
• Be the first point of contact for service-impacting events and provide after-hours support.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors and stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance.
