Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Mechanical Project Manager to be based in Utah, leading mechanical scope on mission-critical data center projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clients, GC’s, EPC’s, and project teams, overseeing design, construction, start-up, commissioning, and turnover, and ensuring quality, budget, and schedule alignment. This is a high-impact role within a global infrastructure leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field required.
• 10+ years of relevant construction and project management experience.
• Experience with large-scale industrial or data-center projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, electrical distribution, cooling infrastructure, and critical facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Manages all mechanical activities on the project from pre-construction through warranty enforcement.
• Serve as the primary mechanical lead between client, GC, EPCs, AECOM staff and stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment between mechanical infrastructure and overall project objectives.
• Oversee installation of mission-critical mechanical systems such as chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and piping.
