Job summary

AECOM in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Lead Mechanical Project Manager to oversee all mechanical activities on a major project. You will serve as the primary interface between the client, GC’s, EPC’s and project stakeholders, guiding delivery from design through turnover.

The role requires extensive experience in large-scale mechanical systems, MEP coordination and commissioning, with leadership across multi-discipline teams to ensure schedule, budget and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Fifteen years in Construction.
• PMP , CCM , or equivalent certification.
• Experience managing large-scale industrial, mission-critical or data center projects.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, electrical distribution, cooling infrastructure, and critical facility operations.
• Understanding of construction means and methods, project delivery processes, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with commissioning processes and operational readiness planning and execution.
• Experience managing mechanical scopes in excess of $100M in construction value.
• Experience with cloud-based PMIS and project controls platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all mechanical activities from design to turnover.
• Serve as primary mechanical point of contact with the client and stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment of mechanical infrastructure with project objectives.
• Oversee installation of chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, piping and pumps.
• Monitor contractor performance and inspect installations.
• Coordinate milestones with electrical, civil, architectural, and commissioning teams.
• Provide technical direction and enforce design, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Coordinate commissioning activities and phased startup.
• Review pay applications and project documentation.
• Coordinate with GC on site meetings and project controls.
• Review condition of off-site stored mechanical equipment with OFCI.
