Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Mechanical Project Manager to be based in Las Vegas, NV. Lead mechanical design and construction efforts for large-scale projects, ensuring commissioning, turnover and client satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience with preference for PMP/CCM certification and data center or industrial project experience. Expect collaboration across mechanical, electrical, civil and architectural teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification.
• Experience managing large-scale industrial, mission-critical or data center projects.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, electrical distribution, cooling infrastructure, and critical facility operations.
• Understanding of construction means and methods, project delivery processes, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with commissioning processes and operational readiness planning and execution.
• Experience managing mechanical scopes in excess of $100M in construction value.
• Experience with cloud-based PMIS and project controls platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages all mechanical activities on assigned project, including pre-construction, design, phased construction, closeout, commissioning, start-up and occupancy.
• Serve as the primary mechanical point of contact between client, GCs, EPCs, AECOM staff and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate mechanical milestones with electrical, civil, architectural, and commissioning teams.
• Provide technical direction and guidance, administer policies, ensure project quality, budget and schedule.
• Work with commissioning agents and client to ensure successful commissioning and turnover of building portions.
• Review field documentation, RFIs and submittals and coordinate with inspectors.
