Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Mechanical Project Manager based in Indiana to lead all mechanical activities on mission‑critical data center projects. You will coordinate with the client, GC’s, EPCs and internal teams to ensure design, budget, schedule and quality throughout pre‑construction, construction, commissioning and turnover.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years in construction; PMP/CCM preferred. You will manage large mechanical scopes, oversee critical equipment installation and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Fifteen years in Construction (preferred).
• PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification (preferred).
• Experience managing large-scale industrial, mission-critical or data center projects.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, electrical distribution, cooling infrastructure, and critical facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead all mechanical activities on the project including pre-construction, design, construction, commissioning and turnover.
• Serve as the primary mechanical lead between client, GCs, EPCs and project stakeholders.
• Oversee installation of mechanical systems (chillers, CRAH/CRAC, coolers, piping, pumps, AHUs).
• Monitor contractor performance and conduct field inspections for quality and conformance.
• Coordinate mechanical milestones with electrical, civil, architectural and commissioning teams.
