Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Mechanical Project Manager based in South Dakota to oversee mechanical activities across phases of data center-type projects. You will act as the main mechanical liaison among clients, general contractors, EPCs and internal teams to ensure design, budget, and schedule alignment.

Responsibilities include coordinating installs of critical infrastructure, supervising field work, and guiding commissioning and turnover with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with extensive construction experience.
• PMP or CCM certification preferred.
• Experience leading large-scale industrial or data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage all mechanical activities on assigned projects from pre-construction to turnover.
• Serve as primary mechanical point of contact among client, GCs, EPCs, and project team.
• Ensure alignment of mechanical infrastructure with project objectives.
• Oversee installation of chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and other systems.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, architectural and commissioning teams.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and turnover activities.
