Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, headquartered in Conyers, Georgia, seeks a Construction Project Manager with strong mechanical construction experience to lead pre-construction, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of related experience, and at least 5 years managing projects up to $15M.

The ideal candidate will negotiate contracts, oversee design coordination with engineers/architects, drive cost control, and maintain client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or 10+ years of related experience.
• 5 years of experience leading construction projects up to $15M in scope.
• Strong experience in mechanical construction projects preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-construction, preplanning, and scheduling.
• Review and approve budgets (labor, materials, subcontractors) and allocate resources.
• Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors.
• Manage project finances including profitability and cash flow.
• Lead design conflict resolution with engineers and architects.
• Lead submittals, RFIs, and change orders processes.
• Implement monthly cost reports and cost projections.
• Maintain and develop client relationships and pursue upcoming work.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
