Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, headquartered in Conyers, GA, seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead pre-construction through completion, manage budgets and subcontractors, and drive profitability. The role requires coordinating with engineers, architects, and field teams to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to safety standards.

You will oversee cost reporting, change orders, and procurement, while developing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of related experience.
• 5 years of experience in construction leading projects up to $15M in scope.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage budgets and subcontractors.
• Proficiency with MS Projects, P6, Bluebeam, AutoBid.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Pre-construction, preplanning, and construction project scheduling process.
• Review and approve project budgets (labor, material, and subcontractors) to determine allocation of resources from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
• Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors to reach agreements beneficial to the project.
• Manage project finances including profitability and cash flow.
• Accountable for the overall profitability of the job and focused on the cost to complete as it relates to the initial job bid proposal.
• Actively be involved in design conflict and resolution for all trades including engineers and architects.
• Lead strategic planning and project submittal, request for information and change order process
• Implement monthly cost reports and accurate cost projections
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and timelines
• Responsible for recognizing and implementing change orders as necessary.
• Responsible for approval of the payment supplier and subcontractor invoices.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and report issues.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
• Strong leadership skills.
• Scheduling, logistics and procurement of equipment and materials
• Maintain and develop client relationships.
• Identify and pursue upcoming work.
• Project, identify and manage CAD, fabrication and field labor resources required
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
