Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, headquartered in Conyers, GA, seeks a Construction Project Manager with strong mechanical construction experience to lead pre-construction, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management. You will oversee cost control, design coordination with engineers and architects, and ensure timely project delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 10+ years in construction) and at least 5 years of experience directing projects up to $15M, with proficiency in MS Projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or 10+ years of related experience.
• 5 years of experience leading projects up to $15M in scope.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Pre-construction, preplanning, and construction project scheduling process.
• Review and approve project budgets (labor, material, and subcontractors).
• Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors.
• Manage project finances including profitability and cash flow.
• Accountable for overall profitability and cost to complete relative to bid.
• Lead design conflict resolution with engineers and architects.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Implement monthly cost reports and cost projections.
• Coordinate with Superintendent on resource planning.
