Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida seeks a Mechanical Engineer - Mechanisms, Level III to design and develop ground mechanical systems and GSE for New Glenn at LC-36. You will lead subsystem design, oversee fabrication, installation, and testing, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable spaceflight hardware.

The role requires 7+ years in mechanical design/analysis, CAD and FEA, GD&T, and experience with large mechanisms. U.S. citizenship or eligible status is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years experience in design/analysis of large mechanical systems.
• Experience leading mechanical designs from concept through commissioning.
• Proficient with CAD tools and mechanical analysis (FEA).

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for subsystems and resolve challenges.
• Deliver mechanical designs for large systems and mechanisms.
• Perform FEA and hand calculations for complex systems.
• Manage external design/fabrication partners through lifecycle.
