Job summary

Blue Origin in Titusville, FL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Mechanisms (III, Senior) to lead end-to-end design and delivery of ground mechanical subsystems for launch facilities at LC-36. You will own large mechanical systems, supervise external partners, and drive the mechanical design from concept to commissioning.

This role requires 7+ years of experience, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, strong CAD/FEA skills, GD&T, and a US citizenship or eligible status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience designing/analysing large mechanical systems (e.g. launch vehicle GSE).
• Experience leading mechanical designs from concept through commissioning.
• Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience with CAD tools and FEA.
• Experience with heavy duty mechanism design.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible status.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for assigned subsystems and resolve technical challenges.
• Own and deliver mechanical design solutions for large systems and mechanisms.
• Perform and review FEA and hand-calcs for complex systems.
• Manage external design/fabrication partners through the project lifecycle.
