Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Engineer - Mechanical III to support mechanical release and separation mechanism assemblies for New Glenn payload deployment systems. You’ll work with design and test teams, performing hands-on build support, integrated system testing, and production sustainment to ensure hardware meets acceptance criteria for launch readiness.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 5+ years in aerospace mechanisms, with CAD (Creo/Windchill), FEA (ANSYS), and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).

Qualifications

BS in engineering or related field required.
Experience with mechanical mechanism assembly, integration and test.
Experience with flight hardware nonconformance disposition and acceptance.

Responsibilities

Provide production engineering support for mechanical release and separation mechanisms.
Execute and support integrated system-level testing of separation mechanisms.
Disposition hardware nonconformances and support MRB activities.
Support hardware builds, assembly, integration, and acceptance testing.
Develop/maintain production procedures, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
Coordinate with design teams on production issues and improvements.
Support test planning, data reduction, and analysis for production tests.
Collaborate with materials/suppliers for world-class aerospace hardware.
