Canadian Pacific Railway is seeking a Manager Mechanical to lead safety‑critical mechanical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards while driving performance in safety, service reliability, and productivity.

The role requires leadership in coordinating with field operations, government and unions, and delivering continuous improvement across the locomotive and railcar fleet. A valid driver’s license and rail operations experience are essential for success.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of working knowledge in railway operations (road, yard, car, mechanical) in a leadership role.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays and on call.
• Ability to interact with governmental and stakeholders.
• Ability to diagnose root causes and resolve complex issues.
• Strong self-motivation and decision-making within authority.

Responsabilidades

• Develops, monitors, and communicates KPIs for train service operations and safety.
• Ensures safety framework adherence and accident prevention initiatives.
• Maintains alignment with field operations to meet customer expectations.
• Maintains relationships with local union officials and monitors gain sharing.
• Leads lean continuous improvement to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Ensures locomotive and car repairs, cycle times, and key metrics are met.
• Leads mechanical teams at train incidents and restores service safely.
